Lady Miranda was a beauty, an heiress, and a most realistic young woman. She knew her family history would make it difficult for her to find a suitable husband. She went to London to make a match, and just when it seemed that the handsome viscount, Justin, and Miranda were on the verge of a love match, a beautiful Russian princess arrived claiming a very intimate acquaintance with Justin. Miranda was devastated to hear the princess's claims and Justin was left wondering why a lady he loved so much was suddenly so cold.
